Barunga Village is delighted to share the wonderful success of its first-ever Sip & Style Fundraiser, held on Friday 21 November. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and contributed, the event raised an incredible $14,615.80, an outstanding result for our very first event of this kind. All funds will help us purchase and install new external shade sails at Barunga Homes.

Barunga Village’s Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Carroll said these much-needed shade sails will create safer and more enjoyable outdoor areas for our House Members, many of whom have strong country roots and love spending time outside.

“The upgrade means they can relax, socialise and join activities outdoors all year round, with better protection from the heat and greater overall comfort and wellbeing” she said.

The Sip & Style event brought together 120 women from across the local region and Adelaide for a beautiful afternoon featuring a catered high tea, licensed bar, Moda Bella fashion parade, silent auction and raffles.

The fundraiser was made possible by a dedicated Barunga Village team led by Annabel Freeth, Marketing and Communications Manager, together with a talented group of volunteers: Virginia Pattingale, Hannah Pattingale, Merrilyn Hewett and Penny Hardy. Their creativity, enthusiasm and hard work made the event truly special and ensured its fantastic outcome.

Barunga Village extends heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, volunteers and attendees for their generosity and support. Your contribution helps us continue creating vibrant, welcoming spaces for the people who call Barunga Village home.
