Taking care of you at home

Servicing the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North
Support at Home program (formally known as Home Care Package) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme
needing help at home?

Barunga Community Care
can support you

Barunga Community Care offers a range of services to people living independently at home in the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula.

From support in the garden – keeping things neat by mowing the lawn or trimming the hedge, to help in the home – gathering the essentials on the weekly shop or lightening your load by doing the ironing. We are here to help keep you in your home, in your community.

Since receiving help at home, it has allowed us to focus on the things we enjoy in life – Terry goes fishing and I spend time in my sewing room, all while our housework and gardening is done. We are also very thankful for the transport service – travelling to Adelaide for appointments is made easier and stress-free by the BCC team.

In November 2025, the Australian Government introduced a new funding program called Support at Home. This new program will replace the current Home Care Package (HCP) program.

You may be eligible for subsidised support though the Australian Government that exists to help you stay independent, healthy and connected in your community.

We offer three levels of support:

1. Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

2. Support at Home Program

3. Private fee-for service

Three levels of support
